Amazon’s Women in Operations Golden Honoree Award

    Karthika Shankar

For excellent demonstration of leadership as a woman in operations

'I am honored to receive the WIO Golden Honoree Award! I started the Women in Operations initiative in 2021 as a way to empower women going into and in the workplace. As a woman of immigrant parents, I grew and learn in many ways about how to navigate some of the challenges of professional career growth. I found that my role as a Diversity Program Manager at Amazon offered me a unique platform to build a network of support, education, and empowerment for other women so I went for it. It thrills me to see this work continue and the creative, passionate, and determined women who continue to fuel it and benefit from it.'
